Sprint Told To Stop Bad Mouthing Verizon's 'Unlimited' Service 03

Sprint's had a rocky few years. This merger is kind of the same situation — the phone you have in your hands will probably work just fine throughout its normal life even if the name of the company you pay each month changes. I have already planned to move my account to different service once my contract is over.

T-Mobile has an innate ability to fix that and the company's knack for attracting customers means investors and executives aren't afraid to sink money into equipment that makes the difference. These phones do not work well at all and we would have switched back to our previous cellular service however we had given our phones to SPRINT as an exchange.

In addition, Sprint's Cut Your Bill in Half” campaign has been very effective, adding 527,000 new customers over the last three months. I have been a victim of fraud by a Sprint representative who added a third line to my service and mislead me to believing that she was sending a replacement phone for my son who lost his phone.

Unlimited plans first came on the scene with the introduction of the smartphone, but eventually fell out of favor because network speeds were being slowed down. But they told me I would be paying roughly $185 for the 2 phones and the tablet. After that, you will either be asked to enter your Sprint phone number (if you're calling from non-Sprint phone or landline) or you will be asked to wait on the line for next available service representative.

Sprint requires a credit check for both its Unlimited Basic and Unlimited Plus plans. I spent over $1000 in 3 years for that phone & even after almost 2 decades of loyalty and always paying on time, they refused to budge. It will take time for the two companies to consolidate cellphone things like customer service and billing departments, but there will be overlap and some positions will be no longer needed.

He pointed out that 60 percent of U.S. Cellular customers in affected cities have let their contracts lapse and the large majority of them use feature phones. Verizon and AT&T may have more available wireless spectrum but most of it is in use for existing 3G and LTE networks.

If staying under budget is worth slower download speeds and the potential for a few dropped calls, Sprint may well be the best cell phone provider for your family. In my previous post, I told about my worst customer service moment with Sprint, and quite a few people flamed me for actually staying with the company after that.

If you caught the media coverage of this story in everything from the Wall Street Journal to a segment last night on CNN, then you probably noticed a common theme in the online responses and "man on the street" interviews—indeed, you may have had this reaction yourself: booting American soldiers at West Point for excessive use of the "free roaming" service is a big no-no, but anyone who calls customer service 90 times in six months deserves to have their account canceled.

The major areas it lags behind are in network speed and data performance (in these categories, it falls to fourth behind T-Mobile). Sprint isn't selling phones with the expectation that customers want to use them on T-Mobile. I was offered a plan of 90 for 4 phone permanently to stay with Sprint.

Maybe the contract terms and penalties for early service termination are as much of Sprint's issue as service problems or whiny customers…. Sprint's EVDO coverage here in Chicago is good, the service is fast, and Sprint will be rolling out WiMAX here next year.

Once you realize this, you're not as sharp, apprehensive with the next customer, and can focus your energy where it's appreciated and needed more than wasting time with someone who wants you to pay for the privilege of working for them rather than earn an honest living.
